Art Installation

"Mutant Chrysalides" owes its name to the fact that, in my imagination, they act as protective nests where multicolored larvae transform into butterflies; they are, therefore, chrysalide nests. The cycle of butterflies, like that of birds, is to fly in search of sustenance in a world that seems increasingly hostile and does not ensure their survival. A world in which butterflies and birds are disappearing due to habitat destruction and fragmentation, a product of agricultural and urban expansion, which has drastically reduced the spaces where these species can feed and reproduce. Added to this is the indiscriminate use of pesticides and herbicides, which not only eliminate the plants on which the larvae and adults depend, but also directly poison the insects themselves. The work aims to provoke the observer to reflect on this troubling issue.

Step into a creative space where threads, textures, and colors weave together stories of culture, identity, and imagination. My work blends traditional drawing techniques with contemporary textile practices.
